Cadillac Catera is s mid-sized entry-level luxury sedan which was launched in 1997 and it achieved approximately 95000 sales. A sports model of Cadillac Catera was also launched two years later in 1999 which had adjustable seats, 17-inch wheels, audible theft system and a rear spoiler. Cadillac Catera underwent first facelift in 2000 when it got totally new looks with new nose, tail, wheels, interior trim, mirrors and side airbags. The engine had a 200 hp but the car was criticized for having poor reliability and performance in hindsight. It is a four-door sedan and it had classy looking original body. Its production was stopped in 2001 and its successor was Cadillac CTS. Its transmission is 4-speed automatic and engine is 3.0 L L81 V6.
