This Dodge Nitro is a compact SUV and its production was started in 2007. It is interesting to note that the platform of the Dodge Nitro is quite similar to that of second generation Jeep Liberty. Although the production started in 2007 but the Nitro had made its debut at Chicago Auto Show as a concept car at that time. It is also special because it is the first compact SUV of dodge after Raider was discontinued in 1990. At first two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive drivetrains were offered.
There was a 3.7-liter V6 engine installed in the earlier models of Nitro. 3 new designation models were available by the year 2010 namely; Heat, Detonator and Shock trim levels. The Heat trim level offered power mirrors, windows and door locks with remote keyless entry, satellite radio, and air conditioning. The Detonator added a rear-park assist, remote start system, power driver's seat.
