Daewoo Alpheon: The Mid-Sized Sedan That Stays Ahead
Daewoo has unveiled the first look of the recent kudos mid-sized sedan by the company, called the Alpheon. The car is being proclaimed as the virtual clone of the famous sedan Buick LaCrosse which was a great sale in North America and China. The car was brought to the market at the Busan motor show, held in South Korea.
Photo 1: DAEWOOThis car uses an Australian-built 3000 cubic centimetre SIDI V6 petrol engine which was first launched in the 2013 LaCrosse. This car has been declared the global product that would meet the highest competition and quality tests along with performance standard examinations in the most sophisticated markets. The CEO, Holden has claimed that it would not poise a substitute for the present Epica med-sized sedan that is a newer version of the EpsilonII design that had underpinned models like the LaCrosse, Alpheon and some other models, which included the Opel/Vauxhall Insignia also along with the new-generation Saab 9-5. The company has opened a new advanced design centre in Seoul on Apr, 2014. This way it has been able to turn out significant global small-cars in South Korea during the past 18 months.
General Motors had made the decision to re-badge the LaCrosse as Alpheon, looking at the advancemans that the newly introduced version may bring to the older model. The introduction of the Alpheon, has set other cars like the flagship car of Daewoo the Veritas much lower to itself. This car has reframed the company’s policies to make only large sedans.
