The two designs named as familiale and commerciale in the estate body make of the Peugeot 403 would give different set of features to the end users. For example, the familiale would offer third row of seats thus enabling the vehicle to be referred to as offering the 7/8 seats configuration for the customers. However, the commercial version offered the same old conventional seat configuration yet being comfortable for the driver and passengers. For both these versions the wheelbase is lengthened by 24 cm which is summing up to 10 inches.

The standard features sunroof and steel belted radial tyres are found in the two versions of the 403, while the familiale has the added advantage of gearbox with manual column change option to facilitate the drives to customize the gearbox according to their needs. The two door cabriolet is more user friendly with the comfort enabled leather seats thus offering luxury drive to the individuals inside the car.
