Yamaha has been a front runner in the production of racing and sport motorcycles for a very long time now. Yamaha MT – 01 combines the goodness of cruiser bike and the performance of sports bike, thus making it one of the most unusual bikes available in the market. A muscle bike, Yamaha MT – 01 was launched for the first time in 2004 and being a flagship model for Yamaha and hence a lot of care and detailing has been invested in carving the extremely daunting and rugged looks. The USP of this ride are the extremely intense street presence and the soul quenching jet like engine sound. This heavy weight gains full marks on the exteriors which drive its high price tag as well. The point where it goes from superb to average is the performance specification. The 1670 cc, V – twin engine is low on the pickup and the heavy weight makes it a rugged drive instead of a smooth one.
