The production of the C2 was discontinued after six years in 2009 when it was replaced by the Citroën DS3 in early 2010. One of the major reasons why Citroen did not enjoy huge success like C3 because of poor advertising. Some car enthusiasts also say that Citroen C2 is one of the most neglected cars of Citroen. Donato Coco was the one to design Citroen C2.
The amazing fact is that it still managed to get Best European Hatchback of 2003 award. There are a lot of models of Citroen C2 such as LX model, Furio, VTR and VTS etc. Most of these models were very sporty-looking and very fast 'pocket rocket'. There were a number of revisions to the C2 in 2006 such as modified allow wheels and half painted door mirrors etc. The two petrol options available for the C2 were VTR Sensodrive and VTS Manual.
