The production of the Dodge Colt was started in 1970 and was discontinued in 1994. The Colt has a lot in common with Plymouth Champ and Plymouth Colt The first generation was made available as a two-door pillared coupe and then later as a 4 door hardtop and a 4 door sedan. The second generation of the Colt was pretty much based on the design of the first generation but the shape of the cars was a bit rounder then.

Sixth generation was the strongest of all and contained a 1.6-litre 4G61T 135 hp (101 kW) turbocharged four-cylinder was produced for the 1989 model year only.
