The all famous Multistrada was introduced for the first time in 2003 and Multistrada is an Italian word which means “Many roads”. This bike is called this because the bike is designed to handle asphalt as well as some unpaved surface. Another great thing about the Multistrada is that it is best for the people who want to try touring but want something light. Although the manufacturers claim that the bike is not manufactured for the off-road use but it still competes in the same niche market as dual-sport motorcycles such as the BMW GS do.
The engine installed in the Multistrada is a 992 cc (1000DS), V-twin. Due to its high speed and great acceleration, firm brakes are also given. Front 320 mm discs, single 245 mm rear disc, and steel-braided brake lines are used throughout. A modified version called Ducati Multistrada 620 was also released later with its matt black colour scheme and single 320 mm front disk.
