As the name denotes, it is an air-cooled four stroke desmodromic 2-valve 90-degree V-twin motorcycles whose production was started in 1988 onwards. Due to high interest in people a super sport version was also released and it was called SuperLight. It is interesting to note that the super sport version of the bike used 750 Sport and 750 GT models for their basis. The proper production of the Super Sport was started in 1974 and the earliest of the models featured 10.5:1 compression ratio, a voluminous 6 gallon gas tank and a claimed weight of 333 lb (151 kg).
There was a Close ratio 6-speed transmission installed in the bike and from 1975 to 1981, quare Case Super Sport was produced in large numbers. There was no major change until 1978 but most notable was a majorly redesigned gear shifter that made the bike a lot easier for owners to live with the bike.
