Fiat Tempra is a small family car which was launched in 1990 by Fiat. At first, the original project was called Tipo 3 as it is a mid-size car between the Fiat Tipo. Tempra also holds the honor to have won the Semperit Irish Car of the Year in Ireland for the year 1991. Tempra was originally sold by the name of Tempra SW (Tempra station wagon). At first, the initial engine range comprised 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 petrol units. Initially, the transmission was a five speed manual but it was the first time that a continuously variable transmission was made available. In Europe, the production of Tempra was stopped in 1998 with the arrival of Fiat Marea but during these eight years, 204,795 Tempras were produced and sold.
