Honda CR-V is manufactured by the Japanese automobile giant Honda and it is a compact SUV manufactured since 1995. It is classified in the segment of Compact SUV and Compact Crossover SUV the body styles offered is a 4-door and it has transversely mounted front engine layout, four wheels and front wheel drive. The crossover is marketed in North America currently. Production of the CR-V started in Sayama, Japan and UK to feed the global market and later Ohio, US joined the manufacturing sites in 2007. Mexico, Canada joined the suit in late 2007 and 2012 respectively. For the Chinese market the vehicle is manufactured in Wuhan, Hubei Province by the Dongfeng Honda Automobile Company. Apart from the Element which is related to the CV-R, it is the smallest of the SUVs in the Honda stable marked in the US and Canada. After the discontinuation of the element after 2011, the CR-V has become the entry level SUV of Honda.
