The Outlander is considered as a wallflower in the crossover segment and it fails to inspire a second look. This one has been restyled and come up with polished exterior, rounded front appearance and a slightly odd front grille. Inside it is all soft-touch tweak and the usual third row seating. The 2.4 L engine powertrian is mated to a CVT transmission. The up market version of Outlander comes with a 3.0 L 6-cylinder engine which is combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is standard all-wheel-drive and one can term the Outlander as a capable vehicle but certainly not compelling buy over better rivals. This front engine 4-wheel drive 5-door wagon can accommodate 7 passengers and commands a base price of $28,620 and a loaded vehicle would cost $34,720. The engine is port fuel injection V6 aluminum block SOHC 24-valve and has a displacement of 2988cc capable of generating 224hp and 215 lb-ft torque.
