2014 Geneva Motor Show Witness Launch of Face- lifted Volkswagen Polo
The 2014 Geneva Motor Show witnessed launch of a face lifted Volkswagen Polo, and the surprise lurks under its hood and not in its design. The European market will overflow with production of this updated beauty that will have for its fans and all auto enthusiasts new 3 and 4-cylinder engines, available in both petrol and diesel variants. The excitement is mostly because the updating does not remain limited to alteration in exterior and chassis.

The Indian market on the other hand will have a firsthand experience of a refreshed engine; this being a 4-cylinder, 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine. The refreshed approach leads to the Polo becoming eligible for excise duty benefits. Even post the benefits the range is a little on the expensive town, priced 6.27 lakhs on the road, but nonetheless there will definitely be customers queuing up for this all innovative diesel hatchback.
One drive on the highway and the improved engine quality starts to kick in, the performance and feel is again encouraging and refreshing. Another prominent addition is the soft touch provided to its suspension, this is keeping in mind the Indian road and traffic system. The delivery is of 230Nm torque and engine aptly produces 88.8bhp. This has been tuned for the newly added GT TDI. On this front, that is on the GT the power accelerates to reaching as much as 103.6bhp and the torque amounts to 250Nm.
