95 Years and Still Running Strong in the Market- Citroen is here Again to Reveal a New Model in the DS Series

A credit to its name with regards to innovation and technique Citroen has held true to its credentials and reputation for the last 95 years. The first of its kind, Citroen was the first to have had a mass production of cars outside of the USA. It maintained and also pioneered the concept of sales and a service network, which complements the brand name. The initial eight years of diligent working had its ranking as the largest producer of cars in Europe, whereas the fourth largest in the world auto market.

A name synonymous with revolution and innovative engineering, Citroen lives up to its slogan, “creative technology”. It gave Europe its first all steel bodied cars and in later years had introduced swivelling headlights as part of several models. This helped enhance visibility on winding roads. The founder and planner of the brand name Andre Citroen had his team of engineers working towards the end of World War to launch in time products which would be high on performance with enticing prices.

The Good Festival of Speed, 2013, saw the launch of Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing model, inspiration from the DS3 fame. DS3 was initially produced in limited numbers. The first production saw only around a 1000 models, whereas on a second demand the number raised was to 2500 only. Hence, those who did miss a chance to own the DS3 speed racing cars, can now try their hands on this. A more subdued design in offering as opposed to its former speed cars versions, but it has a sliding canvas instead of a removable roof top. This ensures no significant increase in the weight or a decrease in rigidity of the model. With top racing legends modelling for the model, it is hard to miss a glimpse of this new beauty produced by Citroen.
