All-new 2014 MINI Cooper available for UK in March

The news is that the all new MINI cooper 2014 model has been unveiled and will go on sale starting March 2014 in the UK. Mini is an all time icon car and its 3rd generation creations are here to lure the market. Looking distinctly recognizable the new brand of car has been enhanced in all departments as per the statement coming from MINI.

The new MINI is bigger and colorful than before and features a horde of improved technologies, driving dynamics and engine efficiency.  Compared to its outgoing cousins it is quieter inside the cabin as it has been meted out refinement to the interior.  The car has been in the news for its design and looks bordering on the controversy, but it packs all the traditional MINI characteristics and classic proportions associated with MINI.

Some of the traditional touches include the hexagonal grille, round headlights, black lower-half cladding and rear upright light clusters which have been revamped subtly. The MINI for the first would feature engines from BMW it would include 3 and 4-cylinder turbocharged options. The latest 1.5liter 3-cylinder and 2-Liter 4-cylinder have been devised to output maximum fuel economy and performance. The base models will be featuring 3-cylinder engines generating 135PS and 220Nm torque. The larger 2-Liter, 4-cylinder engine will go into the Cooper S model high performance car with an output of 190PS and 280Nm. The overboost function featured in the engine also allows them to get better torque stats in a small way.

The MINI Cooper D on the other hand will feature a 3-cylinder diesel engine generation 115PS. The transmission is a 6-speed standard manual that shifts downward and optionally customers can have 6-speed automatic in all ranges.

Starting March the UK buyer will be able to own the 2014 MINI at the base price of £15, 300 which is marginally higher than the cost of the outgoing MINI model.
