Maserati centenary celebration taking place at Donington Park Circuit, UK in May

Motor Racing Legends and the Maserati Club UK are celebrating the 100th anniversary of Maserati by organizing a Maserati race at the Donington Historic Festival this year which would be conducted between 3 May and 5 May.

The race of the Maserati Centenary Trophy is for the entire Maserati and OSCA built vehicles prior to 1966 that would also include the sports cars and single-seaters as well as any car powered by OSCA or Maserati engines.

The history of the Italian brand goes back to 1926 in Motorsport which I 12 years after its birth in 1914. Maserati was popularly recognized for its competition automobiles and had great successes in sports car racing and Grand Prix. The marque had 2 Indianapolis 500 victories and a win in the Formula One World Driver’s Championships in 1957 for its 250F driven by Fangio.

The spokesperson for Maserati Club UK, Michael O’Shea, racing coordinator stated that the Centenary Trophy is the result of the Club UK’s objective to conduct such race for the 100 year of Maserati. The Motor Racing Legend has taken up the challenge to make it a success and the venue for the event would be the Donington Park circuit at the Donington Historic Festival.

By booking in advance the ticket for the Donington festival can be bought at £20 for a single day, £32 for 2 days and £45 for 3 days, the gate price for them would be 25, 40 and 60 pound respectively.
