With more simplified and streamlined design, the new 308 is about 140 kg lesser in weight than the previous model. However, there is no sacrifice in length of space. The range of new engines offer both efficiency and power together. The 1.6 HDi diesel engine will give giving 120bhp and the emission is limited to just 82g/km CO2.

The other variant has got under the hood three different PureTech petrol engines. The PureTech 3-cylinder technology can deliver the same efficiency what the bigger engine can offer with much more fuel efficiency. This is innovative technology from Peugeot where reduced weight and direct injection coming together to optimize efficiency.
