Seat Celebrated 30th Anniversary Of Ibiza

The Seat Ibiza is an old model form the Seat Automotive that used to be a popular automobile company, before it was taken over by other famous automotive pioneers. The model was similar to the Volkswagen Polo and Passat model. The small sized mini car was fit for individual or for small families. The model was based upon the Italian design, giving a touch of industrialization era. On the other hand, the popular Porsche engineering built its major Drivetrain with. 1.5L Engine, optimized for city roads. The Seat Ibiza became popular during mid 1980s, before the Volkswagen finally took charge of the company. Over its 9 years of era, it has served as a prestigious model, selling about 1.3 million car units in the UK.

Interestingly, it was unique of the model that has made it popular among people. Not to forget the amazing interior that was the blend of modern trend yet having a conventional touch. The headlight switch was mounted on the steering wheel for ease of access. Also, indicators were controlled by a rocker switch. The engine was mounted ahead of the axle line, making a small room for adjusting spare wheel. It was placed on the nose tip of the model.

As compared to today’s standard mini cars, the Seat Ibiza was more spacious and bigger in size. Later on, many modified versions of models were introduced with major alterations in design and engine. Today, Seat is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Ibiza which has been a magnificent model of its time.
