SKODA India Launching All-New Superb at Rs 18.87 lakhs

Skoda Superb had been the leader in its segment till 2004, when it was first launched. The news is that Skoda is launching the redesigned Superb at a price of around 19 lakhs, which will be available in the showrooms across India very soon. With revised and refined exteriors and interiors and add-on technical features, the Skoda flagship model is deemed to be more appealing and functional.

In the all-new design, the front and rear portions of the Superb have been fully remodeled. There are cleaner lines and more balanced proportions, which attest to the most precise design and the highest level of quality. It also sports new steering wheels and interior boasts of more space and comfort. Under the hood, the engine mounted on Superb for the Indian model is a 1.8 TSI-118 kW and alternatively a diesel engine 2.0 TDI-103 kW, which are all set to offer excellent performance and efficiency on Indian roads.

While announced the new Superb launch, Sudhir Rao, Chairman & MD of Skoda Auto India informed to the press that, "The introduction of new Superb is a part of our continuous model offensive strategy. This refreshed Superb version is more appealing than the predecessor and retains all the features and comforts, which our customers are already accustomed to. Our refreshed focus towards customers will in turn enhance the overall ownership experience of Skoda."

Checking out the enhancements in design, the front portion is completely remodeled up to A-pillars. Radiator grille, logo, headlights and fog lamps, bumper, bonnet, and front fender are new. The Skoda logo is now placed prominently on the center of the bonnet, sloping slightly downwards. The fully redesigned headlights offer a pretty expressive character to the new Superb’s face. The redesigned Superb features bi-xenon headlights having integrated day running LEDs and LED turning signals. The rear end is also made more clean, clear, and precise with perfect placing of all elements.
