The all new KTM 390 Duke is to be launched in March in India

It has come to light that Bajaj-KTM is having plans of releasing its all new KTM 390 Duke to Indian bikers. The news has been revealed by none other than the Business Head of KTM in India, Joseph Sebastian. This is going to please the Indian fans to a great extent.

The performance bike sector in India is going to experience a new beginning with the bike because it is priced INR2.25 lakhs and will be setting a precedent for others in the industry. It comes as no surprise since the KTM India website was has been hinting at the launch of the KTM 390 Due in the country in the past month by flashing teasers.

For the Indian market the KTM 390 Due will be integrated with ABS kit and the system for the bike will be importantly manufactured by none other than BOSCH. The system can be switched ‘on’ and ‘off’ by the rider manually.

According to report the new KTM bike will be manufactured at the Indian facility of Bajaj which has gone under substantial localization as planned by Bajaj. The exceptional price tag of the bike is attributed to this development.

The bike will be having a 4-stroke single cylinder water cooled engine and with a capacity 373.2cc. It is expected to give a torque power of 35Nm at 7,250 rpm and a power of 44hp at 9,500rpm. KTM Duke 390 will be having a 6-speed transmission for maneuverability and a dry weight of 139kgs and 316.5PS/Tonne power-to- weight ratio. The fuel system is expected from Bosch EFI and ignition system will be Bosch EMS83 for higher priced bike. These specifications are available from official sources and the rest will be cleared once the bike is unveiled to the Indian audience.

Recent development has indicated that the bike owners have announced a tract day on 15 March for the owners of the KTM bikes.
