The New California T from Ferrari has Now Got Turbocharger V8 Under the Hood

The Prancing Horse had always unveiled wonders for the spectators and even through the California is Ferrari’s entry-level vehicle, the wonder here is that there is nothing fairly basic about the latest upgrade of California T. Getting unveiled in front of the public at the Geneva Motor Show, California T features a genuine 3.9-liter, turbo-charged V8 offering 560 HP and torque of 557 pound-feet, which is a downright increase of 70 HP in power and 49% in torque when compared to the old model.

Not just the engine, but the interiors also are more than enough to amaze the viewers as Ferrari always does and California T attained was there at the center stage of the auto show, winning critical acclaim from all corners.  The turbo forced induction mill of the new Ferrari is capable enough to offer a 0 to 62 mph acceleration in just about 3.6 seconds, which is of course a step enhancement form the conventional California.

Even though the Ferrari owners are not going to care about it much, but the switch to the new version also boasts of improved fuel economy by 15%. Not just on the auto-stand show in Geneva, but based on the tests and previews also, California T sounds pretty good.

The new engine itself is more than enough for Ferrari to grab the headlines; however, there are many other upgrades as well. There is new and enhanced steering box, a Flexi-top which closes in just about 14 seconds, magnetic dampers which have got pretty enhanced, and also there is an upgraded traction control. Once can easily notice the shape of the new Ferrari’s nose, which is made to match more to the 1960 Ferraris. All these make the new California T to be the most powerful, performing, and grand-looking California yet. The production version of the enhanced model is said to hit the showrooms later this year.
