Volvo releases its special editions before the starting of the Geneva Motor Show

The 2014 Geneva Motor Show will unveil Volvo’s third new concept car, but it will also show a fleet of special edition cars from the brand on the occasion.  The fleet of cars will include limited edition models of V70, V60, Volvo Ocean Race Editions of XC70 and of V40 and V40 Cross Country.

Extra styling will be outfitted for the new edition model cars and the V70 will be added with revamped grill with a high-gloss black trim, side window frames, mirror caps and silver tailgate and rides. The cars will have 17” wheels with the option of high gloss 17” or 18”. There are high-gloss black upgrades of the exterior for the XC70 and 18” diamond cut wheels. Both these car models will be draped with leather upholstery stitched in cream.

The Volvo ocean Volvo race edition cars will be celebrating the 38, 739 nautical mile sponsorship that will encompass the globe from 2014 to 2015. The log of the sponsorship will be displayed by the cars on their front fenders, tread plates, special seven-spoke wheels and on the information panel. The cars have the choice of either the blonde or black sets with stitching in orange. On the rear load cover of the 60 series will be sporting the map of the race route. Though there is no plan to sell the edition models in the United States Volvo is munching the option of selling the Ocean Race editions in the country. The official press release unveiled these Volvos and these are expected to arrive in Europe in spring.

However the 2014 edition of Volvos are not much change from the Volvos that were being sold for the last 20 years as various customer reports state. Only minor changes have been effected in the current Volvo editions mostly in the looks department.
