The first car that the Germany has produced in mass number with the body made of steel. This demanded new production methods as it was of unibody design. Opel Olympia has introduced Spot welding, new and trendy wheel designs made of steel, and few other advances. During the year 1935 to 1937 two versions LZ and CL in basic Olympia were released each of them with 2 door and 5 windows. For both of these models the soft top convertible feature added score. For Olympia OL 38 , three versions, two saloon LZ( 2 door 4 light) ,LV(4 door 6 light) and one cabriolet CL (2 door 4 light) were made available.
In 1950, the new modernized body in three versions like the Saloon, Convertible, and Estate are released with 2 doors. Olympia A is the latest model which could not do well in the market thus replaced with the other sister model from the same brand.
