The production of the Renault 19 was started in 1988 and it got really fame in Argentina and Turkey where the production was extended until 2000. The interesting thing about the Renault 19 is that it was intended for sale as a replacement for both the 9 and 11 at that time because they were getting old. The first sedan model of the Renault 19 was presented for sale in 1990 and it was strange that the Chamade badge was removed in the 1992 facelift and a “Europa” tag was there instead.
