The Suzuki GN125 VanVan is an enigmatic motorcycle, that’s for sure. Farm hands, gamekeepers, race teams and surf dudes would be the ideal customers: it’s perfect for whizzing around country estates, race paddocks and beaches. Fashion-conscious, retro fans must love Suzuki GN125 VanVans. The GN looks very nice and feels more compact and balanced than my old Kymco. The bodywork is indeed minimal, so less to damage. If looked after well the GN is very pleasant to look at. The most exciting thing for me was the ride. The engine is very smooth as is the gearbox, and compared to the Kymco the clutch is better.
The Suzuki also sounds nicer, and seems to have a fair balance of power throughout the range of gears. On riding along the same roads as the Kymco, the ride was better and very comfortable. With 20,000 miles on the clock it's also doing well on reliability, something which was a large winning factor for all of us.
