Toyota Caldina was an automobile released in 1992 by the Toyota Motors for the Japan market. The car took over from Toyota Carina and Toyota Corona wagons and distributed at Toyopet store and Toyota store locations across Japan. Though Toyota did not export the car officially outside Japan, it became popular gray import due to its larger capacity and 4-wheel capabilities in countries such as Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Latin American countries. Caldina was discarded in the year 2007 and its place was taken over by Toyota Avensis wagon for establishing the brand share in the market. Caldina share the platform with the Premio and Allion of Toyota and is the Japanese version Avensis wagon. Codes as ST125 the 4-wheel drive models are sold as Active Sports GT which has a 3S-GE engine. The GT-T top of the line is offered with turbo 260PS 4th generation 3S-GTE engine with 256hp.
