volvo c70

The first generation of Volvo C70 was introduced in the Paris Motor Show 1996 and it was introduced as the 1997 model for Europe and 1998 model for North America.  It is available in the options of 2.0 Km 2.4 L, low pressure turbo, 2.0L and 2.3L high pressure turbo, 5-cylinder turbo petrol engines with auto and manual transmissions. The team of Jose Diaz De la Vega from Mexico and Peter Horbury designed the interior and exterior respectively. The decades old practice of boxy styling was broken by C70 and chose for a convertible meant for family needs and open sky driving with style, performance and road traction. The contemporary C70, the first Volvo convertible was manufactured at Uddevalla, Sweden. The 4-seater convertible came with automatic rollver hoops, electrically heated rear glass windows, steel reinforced A-pillars, safety cage, front and side airbags for safety etc. the cloth covered convertible top was available in four colors which was engineered from dashboard with just one button.
