Volvo S70 compact size executive car was produced by Volvo Cars in Sweden from 1998 to 2000. It was a sedan and the similar featured V70 was presented as a Station Wagon. These vehicles come from the redesigned suspension of the Volvo 850 and newly created styling. It was eventually replaced by the Volvo S60. In the UK it was introduced as the 1996 model and it appeared in the US a year later. It also looked like a rounded version of the 850. There were six trim levels for buyers to choose from and they included Base, SE, GLT (Grand Lux Turbo), GL (Grand Lux), T5 (5 cylinder Turbo) and R which was only sold in Europe. The features included in the S70 were reshaped hood, new headlights and rounded rear end. The interior was offered with dual airbags in the front and side. Electronic brakes were added for optimizing performance during normal stops. Volvo badge was changed for the 1999 model year.
