Yamaha Diversion known as the XJ series earlier is an all round motorcycle. Past models were offered with 4-stroke air cooled inline-4 engine but in 2009 a new range of 16-valve engine were retained for the bike. In the earlier models there were 4 which included XJ600S, XJ600N, XJ900S and XJ900GT. XJ600 bike models were under production from 1984 to 1991. It has a 598cc inline-4 engine generating 61hp and 41lb-ft. 600c were in production from 1992 to 2004. Yamaha Diversion has a more upright position for the driver making it possible for the rider to ride comfortable than the sports bike. It has economical fuel consumption, reliability and longevity compared to earlier bikes. The Yamaha Diversion is a much sought after bike by police forces all over the world and the delivery is made according to each force’s specifications. The XJ900S is the most preferred by various police departments but the XJ900P is also sometimes preferred.
