Yamaha DragStar was marketed by Yamaha in North America and it was called as V-star 100. It is available in two models namely the XVS1100A Classic and XVS1100 Custom. The later was a more contemporary model and the former was more of a classic styled motorbike with rounder features and heavier by 13kg. In the custom bike the seating is slightly lower than the classic. The 1100 enjoys a large following around the world along with its sibling. Accessories for the models are being manufactured by aftermarket companies. During the lifetime the changed that has been made on the bike was nominal that included minor alterations. In Europe the DragStar was introduced as XVS650 in 1997 and the market grew and included the XVS1100 Custom by 1999. Redesigned air-cooled v-twin was used in the 1100 but the reworked engine was able to produce enhanced torque in the cruiser bike of mid-size.
