Yamaha FZ6 has been manufactured by Yamaha Motor since 2004 and it succeeded the FZS600 Fazer in the market. It is classified as sports as well as standard bike and has a 6-speed chain driver transmission with multi-plate clutch. The engine integrated in the bike is a liquid cooled DOHC 600c 4-cylinder 16-valves engine and has a wheelbase of 56.7-inches. Seat height is perched at 31.1-inches and the length and width are 82.5-inches and 29.5-inches respectively. The bike was related to the Yamaha FZ1 and it carried a tank that could store 5.1 US gallon fuel. The engine was returned to generate better mid-range power and it served the multipurpose of city riding, touring, sport ride and commuting. The FZ6 was replaced by FAZER8 and FZ8 in Canada and Europe and both these models are continued to sell in the market as on 2011 March. Highlights of the bike include under-seat exhaust, upright seating and half-fairing choices.
