Yamaha SR125 one of the light weight motorcycles manufactured by Yamaha between 1996 and 2002. This motorcycle enjoyed popularity and high sales due to the multiple goodies that accompanied the motorcycle. This motorcycle was like the mini version of chopper bikes. With a windshield, spread handle and mini blinkers at front and low seat and extra slanting side stand, this machine looked cool for its time. It reminded of the trends in the eighties where the motorcyclists preferred the look. With 125 cc displacement, air cooled four stroke engine and logically arranged five gears, the bike was able to deliver a handsome power of 12 horsepower, largely enhanced due to the light weight of the motorcycle. The motorcycle has an electric start. Yamaha SR125 came in limited color variants, which included black, chrome and green and received a cult following in the time of production owing to the overall cost effectiveness.
